Hocking Hills Indian Run

The draw of Hocking Hills, Ohio for many travelers lies in its dynamic landscape and intriguing natural vistas. This lush destination is packed with places to explore that range from dramatic sandstone caves and rock walls to captivating cascades and trails that take hikers through a vast wilderness. Enchanting and exciting, the terrain of the Hocking Hills region also plays host to the annual Hocking Hills Indian Run which happens every year in September. In 2019, runners of all ages and abilities are invited to come to compete in this highly popular run which will take place on September 21st.

Race Options

No matter what type of race runners choose for this event, they’re sure to be enchanted by the beauty of their path. All races begin at the Hocking Hills State Park naturalist cabin and wind through the gorgeous wooded landscape bringing runners in touch with streams, creeks, waterfalls, caves, and gorges. The Hocking Hills Indian Run paths may be hilly, but they’re also spectacular making them a favorite amongst runners from near and far.

Participants have the option of running a 5K, 10K, 20K, 40K or 60K route. The 60K run begins promptly at 7:00 am while 40K runners take off at 8:00 am. All other runners will compete on an individual start time basis between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Runners with pets who are just as eager to race are invited to bring them along on a leash. Those participants who prefer to walk these routes are welcome to do so as well.

Registration Details

Runners are encouraged to register for the race early online for a cost of $30 per participant. Race day registration is available at an increased cost of $40. Registration includes a customized race t-shirt which makes for a wonderful memento of the run! Once every runner has crossed the finish line, ribbons are awarded to the top three men and women in each age division. No matter which route you choose, runners are invited to come and enjoy the spectacular scenery provided by taking part in this amazing Hocking Hills Indian Run.
