Description

Little Chief Cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin, located just minutes from Rock House! It offers cozy accommodations for up to 4 guests and up to 3 dogs. The cabin is located with close proximity to the main route, while its sister lodge, Chief Logan, sits up on top of the hill and can be rented with the cabin for larger groups. The fireplace, hot tub, and nice sized yard are some of the guest favorites!

Starter supply of hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, detergent (if applicable), dish tabs (if applicable), and trash bags Linens and towels- Fully made beds with sheets, and comforters, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, sponges for dishes, spare blankets (amount varies by property).

Common items to bring for your stay:

  • Clothing and personal bath toiletries.
  • Food and food related items- spices, coffee/flat bottom coffee filters, specific/unique small appliances (rice cooker, slow cooker, etc.)
  • Firewood/Fire starting materials
  • Beach towels for hot tub/pool (if applicable)

Damage Protection Coverage

Our Damage Protection program covers up to 10xs the fee that is charged. For example: if the damage protection fee is $30, then there will be $300 in coverage. Cabins and Lodges is responsible for filing all program claims on behalf of the tenants and the tenant will be notified in writing of any such claim. Tenant verification may be required in certain cases. Tenant will be responsible for the cost of repair of all damages that exceeds the coverage Limit of the Property Protection Program. The amount you pay for the Property Protection Program includes any related insurance, technology-support, service, and claims adjudication costs, along with administrative fees charged by the Cabins and Lodges for making this coverage available. This program does not cover intentional damage, those damages resulting from the negligence of tenant, or damages from non-compliance with the terms of this agreement. Determination of actual damages will be at the sole discretion of Cabins and Lodges and the program underwriter..

    Great peace to get away. It was clean and peaceful. Very short drive from Hocking Hills State Park. Our cabin was petty close to the road, but they let you know that in the description. Even so, you can't really see it through the trees and when you're in the cabin you can't hear it so it was not a deal breaker at all. The cabin was well kept and was very comfortable. Would recommend for those just trying to get away and chill...it was very relaxing. Thank you for the stay.

    Everything was like new and very clean! Had all the dishes, utensils we needed for our stay. The cabin itself was great, the only drawback is it was pretty close to the road.

    The cabin was beautiful and new. It allowed us plenty of space without being too much. The inside was cleaned well and the outside was kept nicely maintained. I appreciated the early arrival emails, and the to-do list upon checking out. It made the process fairly simple.

Buck Ridge is a gorgeous 3 bedroom cabin on private, wooded acreage. It offers a great space for up to 8 guests and 3 pets. There is a lower level hot tub deck, fresh decor, and a convenient location just minutes from the main route through the county and Cantwell Cliffs State Park, can be rented as a stand alone or with Moonlit Trail for a larger group reservation.

    We enjoyed the beautiful cabin and the location. Everything was as advertised. More than enough room for our group of 4 adults (including a wheelchair). Because we had one person who could not manage steps, a TV on the main level was an amenity that was missed. We made due with a portable DVD Player and DVDs brought from home (we bring it on all vacations “just in case”).

    Came to the area from Pennsylvania for a long weekend. Our son, working in Ohio met us. My sister who lives in Kentucky met us. And our dog got to come along. We all had our own bedroom/bathroom which made our stay more comfortable. Cabin in a good location. Private. Plenty of activities, we enjoy the amazing hiking the most.

    It's a perfect getaway cabin. Very clean and well maintained. The back porch gives you the feeling that you're nestled amongst the trees. How the rooms are situated gave each person in our group their own private space. It's a lovely cabin and I will book it again in the future.

    It was a wonderful experience for my boyfriend and i and are two dogs. Tons of trails no more than 20 or so minutes away. And the logan marina was only 12 minutes away for pontoon boating. It was nice to be able to come back after a long busy day to a cozy little cabin. I definitely recommend to anyone wanting to come up here. Just remember if you want to use a grill either bring your own propane tank or buy through buffalo cabins. I forgot to so we had to spend 60 on a new tank but we did leave it behind for other guests to use since we only used it twice

    We really enjoyed our stay at Buck Ridge - check in was super easy, it was nice and clean, everything in place. The hot tub worked great and it was nice to enjoy after hanging out in the colder temps. I love that we could bring our pup on the trip, too.

    We were a group of 6 adults and 2 babies - the downstairs area was perfect for our family with the two babies! Lots of room for cribs and crawling around on carpet. Kitchen and living room were open and spacious. Loft area was open and spacious as well. Everything was very clean and as described in the listing. Close to all of the hikes. We would definitely stay here again!

    We had a great time at this cabin. It feels pretty off the grid but still 15 mins from Kroger and 20ish from hocking hills. We loved it. The cabin is so clean. Not even a cobweb or dust on the outdoor porches. We had our dog with us and she enjoyed exploring. Make sure you get a starter log or lighter fluid for the fire pit. We would definitely go back.

    This cabin was the perfect getaway for our family of 5 plus our dog! We all had the best time. Very clean and organized check in process. The property is beautiful!! If we had to make one complaint, it would be the WIFI was having trouble connecting most of the time, which was difficult in the evenings when kids wanted to wind down with a movie. We cannot wait to rebook in the near future! Thank you!

    This cabin was so peaceful, clean and the perfect size. The property surrounding was beautiful! It was the most secluded but easy to get places I've stayed. The only issue we had was the extra bedding for futons. The listing says it sleeps 10 but I would prepare to bring sheets / blankets for 3 of those. Thanks for a beautiful stay! We are hoping to come back in the fall or winter (:

    We enjoyed our stay at the Buck Ridge Cabin. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we would need. It was a quiet location, and a short drive to Old Man's Cave and other Hocking Hills attractions. We would recommend this location and cabin!

    I spent memorial day weekend with my family: 4 kids and a dog. The cabin is not close to other, you can enjoy privacy, but not too far from other cabins too. Kitchen with everything you need to cook, nothing is keep in the house so remember also to bring basics: salt, sugar, ... This was the best place we ever stayed in Hocking Hills. Very clean, smart bedroom disposition, 1 for each floor. We had all meal outside in a wonderful balcony.

    The cabin was well maintained and had everything that we needed! I loved it! It was also ideally located. The hot tub was awesome and I also really enjoyed the fire pit. We ended up arriving late to the cabin, but called ahead and were given a code to get the key out. Very easy process.

    I have stayed @ Buffalo Lodging properties before, so I knew the cabin would be nice. Buck Ridge was exactly what I was expecting. Clean, plenty of towels, working hot tub & spotless bathrooms & shower facilities. Rental properties are tough to maintain. They all could use some TLC. However, Buffalo Lodging does a nice job making sure everything is in working order prior to your visit.

    Great place to host a large group. Absolutely gorgeous cabin. We loved every detail. Our grandsond enjoyed the pool table. We all loved the wood burning fireplace, fire pit and hot tub. Beds were comfortable. I would definitely go back!

    This is the second time we stayed at this location. Very close to cantwell cliffs. Quiet and private with a small pool attached to the house w cement surround for convenience, hot tub outdoors and pool table indoors. Only recommendation is that it should have some additional couch type seating in the room with the pool table, for those who are watching the pool sharks in action.

    The cabin is nice and spacious. Beautiful views from the patio. The only reason the review is not a 5 is that there were a few minor issues that needed addressed when we first arrived, but the owner was very quick to respond. I would rent this cabin again.

    What a wonderful cabin! We take a trip with our kids, their significant others and grandbaby for our Thanksgiving celebration. We take the time to turn off the devices and enjoy nature and each other's company. The visits by the deer in the morning were the icing on the cake. We brought one of our family dogs and it was set up perfectly with the fenced in yard and gated deck. The internet wasn't working because of an issue with the carrier, but we really didn't care. We had a little trouble with the hot tub but the repairman was quick to arrive and got us relaxing soon after dinner. Thank you for providing a great place for our family to regroup and reconnect.

    We (4 parents, 4 young adults) spent two days and two nights before Christmas in this lovely cabin. We had a wonderful weekend there. The cabin is very pretty inside and out. We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the construction and furnishings. The kitchen is very pretty and well equipped, although we did bring a few of our own pans and utensils just in case. Everything was very clean! It didn't feel like a rental -- it felt like a real home. We took advantage of the hot tub and the outdoor fire pit. The owners put up a Christmas tree, so it was especially nice to sit on the comfy leather couches talking and laughing with our friends and kids. Unlike many of the other rentals in Hocking Hills, this one does not have a fireplace. It would have been nice to have a fire place, but even without one, this place provides a lovely, cozy weekend getaway!

    This is a beautiful and spacious cabin with easy access to all of Hocking Hills' scenic beauty. While only three of us spent nights at the cabin - we had lots of holiday visitors and the cabin accommodated all very comfortably. Cantwell Cliffs was less than a half mile away and Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, etc. were less than a 15 minute drive - as was shopping in Logan. Athens is about 40 minutes away - and worth the drive to visit Jackie O's brewpub and taproom, Casa Nueva and more.

Our Damage Protection program covers up to 10xs the fee that is charged. For example: if the damage protection fee is $30, then there will be $300 in coverage. Cabins and Lodges is responsible for filing all program claims on behalf of the tenants and the tenant will be notified in writing of any such claim. Tenant verification may be required in certain cases. Tenant will be responsible for the cost of repair of all damages that exceeds the coverage Limit of the Property Protection Program. The amount you pay for the Property Protection Program includes any related insurance, technology-support, service, and claims adjudication costs, along with administrative fees charged by the Cabins and Lodges for making this coverage available. This program does not cover intentional damage, those damages resulting from the negligence of tenant, or damages from non-compliance with the terms of this agreement. Determination of actual damages will be at the sole discretion of Cabins and Lodges and the program underwriter..

Close to hiking rails and local breweries. The pool table and air hockey tables were a hit too! Nice entertaining area outside/by pool to grill.

    Our group consisted of 13 people. All family, We had a different house we were supposed to stay in but there was a problem with the air. They reached out to inform us of the problem before we got there and said they had a back up place for us to use. This house was perfectly proportion to accommodate all of us. We were able to eat together and there was a pool table upstairs we could enjoy. We we're able to hang out without feeling cramped. We felt they did a great job of making sure we were talking care of. We would definitely use this company again.

    This house was so pretty and extremely large! It was perfect for our group. The only bad thing was that the electric went out overnight but it wasn't the property owner's fault, it was a wind storm that was pretty bad. However, the property owner stayed in contact with us and kept us informed on when the power would be back on. It came on hours before they said. It was a fun stay!

    We thoroughly enjoyed the property and found things to do in the general area. The only problem we had with the property was the coons. I realize they are natural to the property but we locked the garbage cans like you requested but the coons are smart. Just a thought if you put a a fence around the garbage cans it may slow them down and save you on the garbage can replacement. The house was spacious, pool fun and the hot tub relaxing.

    This lodge was just what we needed to relax and reset! We had 12 women in our group and plenty of space to spread out yet still come together for shared meals and fun. Everything was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped...one of the best rental kitchen setups we've experienced! Would highly recommend and we are already counting down the days until our next visit!

    We truly enjoyed the home! It was very clean, and beautifully decorated. The land surrounding the property was beautiful and it was by far the most peaceful setting anyone could ever ask for. The only thing we wished had been better, was the quality of the mattresses. The bedroom furniture was very nice and very high quality however the mattresses themself were sub par. Despite the mattresses we would totally rent this location again!

    As our first family vacation in years, we had a great time! Lots of things to do within 30 minutes of the cabin and the location itself is fairly secluded, which was great! The cabin was very clean and there were plenty of supplies. Lots of fish in the pond as well! The only downside was the wifi, it really did not work at all. But as long as you aren't relying on that and truly want a cabin experience, this is a great place to stay!!

    Hello we had a big group that went between family and friends and let me just say that overall experience was amazing. Location was perfect; remote and peaceful for us to hangout and let loose.     The listing was very accurate! Easy to get find. 4-wheel drive helps make it up the driveway, but still do-able. Very clean and plenty of space! Very secluded. The hot tub was a very nice amenity. Not too far from hocking hills hiking trails. I highly recommend and plan on staying here again!

    Was a terrific value for the time of year and number of guests I had. Really enjoyed spending time in the hot tub and playing cards and scrabble in the common area. The inside was clean and looked fresh and new, in good repair. Didn't smell like other dogs or like firewood. Smelled clean and looked great! I am a disabled veteran and sometimes have issues with staying in hotels with my PTSD service dog. Not with Buffalo lodging! What a fantastic experience. Thank you!

    Was a terrific value for the time of year and number of guests I had. Really enjoyed spending time in the hot tub and playing cards and scrabble in the common area. The inside was clean and looked fresh and new, in good repair. Didn't smell like other dogs or like firewood. Smelled clean and looked great! I am a disabled veteran and sometimes have issues with staying in hotels with my PTSD service dog. Not with Buffalo lodging! What a fantastic experience. Thank you!

    Spent 3 nights here in October 24. The cabin was very nice, clean and easy access to the area's attractions. Quiet in evenings as well. Had a problem with the rear door not locking - it was quickly repaired/replaced along with dropping off some blankets as it was chilly overnight. Overall very satisfied with the rental.

    This cabin was exactly as listed. Clean and cozy, yet spacious enough for the family to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, and tableware needed for our stay. Plenty of towels and washcloths were provided as well. A beautiful, quiet location and a short drive to Hocking Hills State Park, the quaint general store, and several restaurants. We will definitely rent this cabin again when we return to visit the Hocking Hills State Park!

    This was our annual girls trip, and this cabin checked all the boxes! It was spacious enough that all 4 of us had our own space, and the hot tub was incredible! After going zip lining and hiking, it was great to come back and soak our cares away in the hot tub. The staff was incredibly easy to work with and everything was as promised.

    We had a wonderful stay for our girls trip. The cabin was very cozy and very clean. It was perfect for our little getaway. My only suggestion is a bigger trash can for outside. Wonderful stay and would book again.

    As advertised on VRBO. Easy check in/out. Clean cabin inside/outside. Spacious/clean hot tub. Had 8 in our group, but cabin was still spacious enough for us to spread out or not too crowded when we were all together. Quiet area, never heard neighbors/noises other than our raccoon friend. We learned after night 1 to put garbage can inside. Other than running out of towels/toilet paper (again we had 8 house guests), we had no complaints. Made use of washing machine/dryer. Would recommend booking. Price is right.

    This is a great cabin. It is clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. The 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths were perfect for a group of 4 adult ladies. The hot tub was a plus too(and clean!) We had a great time. There was only one minor glitch in that there was a delay in firewood being delivered to us, but the after hours number the rental company gave us was quite responsive and issue fixed. Very minor and not a deal breaker. We definitely would stay again and hope we can make it back!

    I would absolutely stay here again. The location was great. Near every hike hocking hills has to offer. The management company was easy to work with & accommodating. Being a log cabin, not much insulation for inside noises (talking/walking around) but the a/c works wonderfully! Same with the hot tub!!! Tip - bring flatware, plates, cups, etc. not a lot in the house but plenty to get by with, if you don't mind doing dishes often.

    Very pleased with the Waterfall Cabin accommodations. It is located along a quiet paved road that was easy to get to with a FWD vehicle. Cabin had just enough indoor space to feel both welcoming and cozy. The lodging company was extremely responsive... even going out of their way to accommodate our short-legged fur baby.     Gorgeous cabin, spacious, clean, and perfect location to get away with family and from the world for a weekend! Did some hiking, s'mores around the fire, and cooked fantastic meals. Location was close to Old Man's Cave while being remote enough that we didn't see any neighbors. We will definitely be back!

    This cabin was huge! Lots of beds and bedrooms for our guests throughout the three floors and the deck is a great space for games, hanging out, and grilling! It was incredibly clean when we arrived and we had no issues with any of the appliances.

    Had a family gathering of 10 at this property. House is very convenient to shopping in town and not too from the different areas of Hocking Hills State Park. Beautiful porch and nice fire pit area. Kitchen had plenty of cook wear, bowls, pots and pans, etc. There were no spices other than salt and pepper and make sure you bring your own staples such as aluminum foil, saranwrap,etc, as there was nothing like this in the kitchen. All in all, a great stay!

    Loved sitting on the deck surrounded by trees and enjoying the hot tub. Nice having a full bath on each Level. 10 minutes to old mans cave and the visitor center.

    Great house! We had 7 people and 2 dogs stay. There are enough beds for 14 though. Large family room and big family room on lower level. Plenty of hang out space. Kitchen was big enough to cook every meal in. They should invest in new pots and pans, also baking sheets. They are very worn and old. There are 2 wrap around decks that are closed in so our dogs could be outside freely. We did bring a baby gate for the front stairs to block that off. A huge picnic table and hot tub on one of the decks. Great views into the forest from it. The house is on the end of a dirt road cul-de-sac. VERY secluded and private. We loved it. Minutes away from all of the caves and trails. We took our 19, 24, and 28 year old daughters and their boyfriends. Everyone had a great time. We would stay at this location again.

    Secluded but not far off of 664 and lake Logan and hocking hills caves and lodge. Cabin is a little dark but loved it. Sleeps 14 people which I didn't realize. Hot tub was very clean. Have one at home so know what to look for w the hot tub. Love love the decks and covered patios!!!!

    Cozy getaway! The rustic beams were great. Kitchen well equipped. I wished there were some more lights, I know some people like cabins to be darker/cozier but I would have preferred more light. For being pet friendly it was quite clean. We didn't have pets and I didn't realize until after we booked that pets were welcomed but none of our allergies flared up so that told me they keep it quite clean!

    We had a great time on the unit. Hot tub and fireplace was used daily. Just relaxed and enjoyed bringing in the new year with the same friends and our grown adult daughters that we have brought in the new year with for 25 years

Chief Logan Lodge is a Hocking Hills luxury rental that sits high elevation, surrounded by lush forest. It is the perfect space for up to 16 guests and 3 pets! There are expansive wrap-around decks, a great lower level entertainment area- complete with a private sauna, and 5 bedrooms/3.5 baths for guest accommodations. It is located near Rock House. Within walking distance, although still privately-situated from Little Chief Cabin.

Starter supply of hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, detergent (if applicable), dish tabs (if applicable), and trash bags Linens and towels- Fully made beds with sheets, and comforters, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, sponges for dishes, spare blankets (amount varies by property).

Common items to bring for your stay:

  • Clothing and personal bath toiletries.
  • Food and food related items- spices, coffee/flat bottom coffee filters, specific/unique small appliances (rice cooker, slow cooker, etc.)
  • Firewood/Fire starting materials

Damage Protection Coverage

Our Damage Protection program covers up to 10xs the fee that is charged. For example: if the damage protection fee is $30, then there will be $300 in coverage. Cabins and Lodges is responsible for filing all program claims on behalf of the tenants and the tenant will be notified in writing of any such claim. Tenant verification may be required in certain cases. Tenant will be responsible for the cost of repair of all damages that exceeds the coverage Limit of the Property Protection Program. The amount you pay for the Property Protection Program includes any related insurance, technology-support, service, and claims adjudication costs, along with administrative fees charged by the Cabins and Lodges for making this coverage available. This program does not cover intentional damage, those damages resulting from the negligence of tenant, or damages from non-compliance with the terms of this agreement. Determination of actual damages will be at the sole discretion of Cabins and Lodges and the program underwriter..

    We had 10 adults and 1 teenager ranging in age from 13-70. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed including a propane line connected directly to the gas grill which we were not aware of until we arrived. The only concern we had were the narrow steep steps from the parking area to the deck/entry. A bit challenging with luggage and groceries, but we really enjoyed our stay and I would totally recommend this property as it was convenient for our activities of candle making, hiking, horseback riding and driving to Logan and Laurelville. ☺️

    The property was as amazing as advertised! The location was perfect whether you wanted to hang out at Logan Logan, kayak, hike in Hocking Hills, or just relax and play games in the cabin. The o it minor complaint was inconsistent Wi-Fi, otherwise it was a dream!

    My family and I stayed here for the weekend and had a wonderful experience. There were plenty of amenities available to accommodate all of our needs and the property was very clean. We had a great time hanging out in front of the wood fireplace and enjoying the pool table, sauna and hot tub. Great stay!

    We have been making a trip to the hocking hills area for our family Christmas get together for several years. This is our favorite cabin so far. We introduced three more teenagers to the wonder that is Ash Cave and they loved it. Fans for life I think. Chief Logan Lodge had everything we needed for an enjoyable family weekend. The hot tub was nice, beds were comfy, bathrooms and showers were nice. We liked that several of the bedrooms had access to the deck. Parking areas had room enough for our vehicles. We were happy to include our furry family members, thanks for allowing them.

    We were a group of 11 adults and 2 young children. We enjoyed having bedrooms on different levels to allow to young children nap times/early bedtime. Common areas/kitchen slightly on the smaller side for the amount of people the cabin can sleep, but surprised that it was not a big deal. Additionally, other reviews mentioned well water taste, but water tasted completely normal. Do note that water pressure/amount of hot water is severely limited at times and especially in the basement bathroom. Rooms/beds are a mixture of sizes and firmness, might consider that when first choosing rooms. Deck space was lovely, we had warm weather during our Christmas stay and it was nice to hang out on the deck some, which would be a huge draw in summer/fall as well.

    Anytime we had questions and called, they were answered promptly. Easy process to book and to obtain check in information. The only problem we had was the basement bathroom leaked but was addressed with management to check into it.

    This property was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for everyone in our family (13). There were two nice TV's with dish so there were plenty of options for the evening and the kids enjoyed playing on the pool table in the basement.

    We had a nice stay and enjoyed the cottage. Suggestion, for those of us that lead busy lives, it would make it easier if the amenities were included such as firewood and propane - most would not have an issue with payment $20 more for these couple items to be included. I did not take the time to read everything and was left with not propane to cook my prepared meal. My issue, but I am not sure I've ever stayed at a VRBO where I did not have this included. Thank you and hope to come back, we did enjoyed ourselves and that little slice of heaven!

    I booked this property for a friends birthday and for New Years! The cabin was just as adorable in person as it was in the pictures. We had such a good time. It was clean, the hot tub was relaxing, the fire pit was nice. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. I truly enjoyed my time and the booking process was easy.

    Photos on the site do not do this cabin justice , it's a lot bigger in person . Cabin was very clean , great location to hiking and stores if we needed something . Check in was smooth and everything worked great. Plenty of games for the family . Extra blankets and pillows if needed ! A few recommendations for those visiting this cabin bring Tupperware or foil if you plan to save leftovers if cooking in . Pens and paper if you're planning any games that require these items . Otherwise everything you need is here! Would recommend this cabin to all . Our first family trip to hocking was a success . They even had two decorated Christmas trees so we had a surprise Santa visit
