Annual Easter Egg Hunt During Easter in Hocking Hills
There is no better celebration for the children for Easter than an Easter egg hunt. You will find just that when you visit the Hocking Hills State Park during your stay. Each year Hocking Hills State Park puts on their annual egg hunt so kids can find candy filled eggs hidden all around the Nature Center. The event is sponsored by the Friends of Lake Hope and is always a popular event for Easter. The egg hunt starts right at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 30th and will last for approximately half an hour. Parking is available by the Nature Center but will full early on during the day. We recommend to visit the park in the morning to enjoy some hiking and remain in the area to beat the crowd. If your kids love Easter egg hunts, you cannot pass up this opportunity at Hocking Hills State Park.
7th Birthday at Brewery 33
Visiting Hocking Hills for Easter does not mean you cannot go out and enjoy all the other events taking place in town. Easter Weekend will see Brewery 33 turning 7 years old! This local brewery has become a staple in the community and is always a popular place to grab a beer and food at. Brewery 33 is a family friendly place so everyone in the group can enjoy their time here. Locals enjoy coming here to recharge after a hike with a pint of their homemade craft beer. Brewery 33 features all of the classic styles of beer you enjoy including their new Winter Hike Whit that is sure to become a new favorite of yours. The brewery always has a rotating menu with the seasons so you can find something new to try each time you visit. The brewery also features a rotating selection of food trucks so you and the family can enjoy incredible food at a great price. The 7th birthday celebration will be taking place on Saturday March 30th and is free to join. You can enjoy the live music of Connor Stimmel along with Amy’s Simply Kitchen on hand serving incredible food. The activities take place from 2:00 to 5:00 PM for a perfect afternoon of fun and celebrations.
Easter Brunch
Another popular activity for the family is getting Easter brunch. There is no better way to start your morning than with a delicious brunch menu full of your favorites. Hocking Hills features many different restaurants that offer a vast breakfast and lunch menu where you can find your favorite items to order. The Olde Dutch Restaurant offers a buffet brunch where it is all you can eat. The breakfast selection is not quite as large as other restaurants but the menu greatly expands when the lunch hour kicks in. The Ridge Inn offers classic homestyle recipes that will fill you up for your day. Enjoy your brunch on their patio tables with a cup of coffee in hand.
For a traditional brunch experience you simply cannot go wrong with Lake Hope Lodge. They feature a Sunday Brunch each week from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM that is an all you can eat buffet. You will find some truly decadent items to choose from including brisket hash, eggs, pancakes, and much more. You can even have a custom order omelet made to your liking as well. Brunch in general is always a popular activity on Sunday mornings and will be more so on Easter Sunday.
